Back in the day,when i was growing up,funk metal was revolutionary style.none od 90`s music can`t be compared to this one.The bands Red Hot Chili Peppers,Fishbone,Faith No More they mixed funk and metal in the way never heard of before.It was exciting to hear that is in fact possibile.All these bands raised from the underground straight to the top.And that started me loving all this funk.The first album that i heard if we speak of mixing funk and metal was "Fool`s Game" from Bay Area band called Mordred.This band was brave enough to reinvent the "Superfreak" by Rick James.If you ask me for this you gotta have guts.I loved this band.....and what came after that....hmm..a lot of groups mixing black and white..or doesn`t matter.i`m colour blind.
Second band that i heard was coming from same place,San Francisco,Bay Area...it was Primus,total discovery.My way of listening to music was changed forever after this.
